ΟDemetri και η Jackie διάλεξαν την Ελλάδα για να ανταλλάξουν όρκους αιώνιας αγάπης δίπλα σε εκλεκτούς συγγενείς και φίλους που τους ακολούθησαν σε αυτό το αξέχαστο ταξίδι χαράς. Τόπος καταγωγής των γονιών του Demetri το Γύθειο, με την ιδιαίτερη ατμόσφαιρα και τις εντυπωσιακές τοποθεσίες, το ζευγάρι ήξερε από την πρώτη στιγμή, πως αυτός ήταν ο κατάλληλος προορισμός όπου θα γιόρταζαν τον έρωτά τους και θα ένωναν για πάντα τις ζωές τους.

Το love story τους αναπάντεχο και ιδιαίτερο όπως και οι ίδιοι. Γνωρίστηκαν σε έναν χορό όντας φοιτητές και από την πρώτη στιγμή που βγήκαν για tacos, έγιναν πραγματικά αχώριστοι. Η πρόταση γάμου που ακολούθησε 5 χρόνια μετά, έγινε και αυτή στη Μάνη, με background ένα ειδυλλιακό σκηνικό στην διάρκεια των καλοκαιρινών τους διακοπών στην Ελλάδα. Όπως αναφέρουν και οι δύο, η στιγμή ήταν κάτι παραπάνω από ονειρική και πως αλλιώς μπορούσε να είναι άλλωστε για ένα τόσο ερωτευμένο ζευγάρι. Αυτή ήταν η ζωή τους, η δική τους πραγματικότητα, η δική τους απόλυτη ιστορία αγάπης.

Η επίτευξη ενός destination γάμου στην Ελλάδα έγινε στόχος και το ταξίδι στην πιο όμορφη ημέρα της ζωής τους διευκόλυνε και διαχειρίστηκε με ιδιαίτερη μαεστρία η wedding planner Γεωργία Τσιώτου της Mani Deco. Η Γεωργία, όπως αναφέρει ο Demetri, ήταν πάντα διαθέσιμη να βοηθήσει, καθησυχαστική και ενθουσιώδης και έδινε την αίσθηση πως νοιαζόταν για τον γάμο τους όσο και οι ίδιοι. “Ήταν πραγματική ευλογία να έχουμε τη Γεωργία επικεφαλής της ομάδας οργάνωσης του γάμου μας, καθώς διαπραγματευόταν όλες τις λεπτομέρειες ακόμα και όταν εμείς εκ των πραγμάτων δεν μπορούσαμε να είμαστε εκεί. Έκανε πραγματικότητα τον γάμο που ονειρευτήκαμε, έναν Ελληνοαμερικάνικο Village Wedding. Δεν αμφιβάλλαμε λεπτό για την επιλογή μας, ενώ όπως φάνηκε, εκείνη μας χάρισε στιγμές που θα μας μείνουν αξέχαστες” δεν διστάζει να αναφέρει το ζευγάρι.

Ο Νίκος Τσέλιος- Nikos Tselios Photography απαθανάτισε μέσα από τα έντεχνα φωτογραφικά του κλικ τις πιο όμορφες στιγμές του ζευγαριού, κρατώντας τες αναλλοίωτες μέσα στον χρόνο. Μάλιστα, ο ίδιος με τους Jackie και Demetri γνωρίστηκαν από κοντά την ίδια ημέρα του event! Το ζευγάρι εξομολογείται πως εκείνος και η ομάδα του με πάθος, περίσσιο ταλέντο και άψογο επαγγελματισμό, κράτησαν ανεξίτηλες τις πιο πολύτιμες αναμνήσεις, αυτές τις πιο ξεχωριστής τους ημέρας.

Demetri and Jackie met at a college dance in February 2016 through a mutual friend. Surprisingly, they were not each other’s date, but that didn’t stop them from quickly becoming smitten with each other. They first went out on a lunch date for tacos and talked for three hours straight. They became inseparable ever since. Over the next five years, they grew together, transitioning from college into adulthood, and on August 1st, 2021, Demetri proposed to Jackie at Panagia Yatrissa in Mani, during their summer trip to Greece. He was so nervous the whole day and had Jackie convinced it wasn’t going to happen. But sure enough, as the sun was setting, Demetri got down on one knee and proposed with the entire Mani mountains as a beautiful scenic backdrop. “ It was better than a dream“ they go on to describe it “because it was our reality”.

The whole experience of planning the wedding was incredible. Even though they were, at first, intimidated by the idea of planning a wedding long distance, they truly wanted the wedding to take place in Gytheio. A romantic event with a unique Mani setting was something they both wanted from the moment they got engaged. Demetri’s parents were born and raised in Agios Nikolaos and Arna, and he would go back every year to visit Gytheio. The couple agreed that it would be the perfect place to celebrate their love.

The wedding was an event to remember, planned and coordinated by Georgia Tsiotou of Mani Deco. As Demetri and Jackie describe: “We were so grateful as we were desperate to find a professional to help us plan a destination wedding. Georgia was wonderful from the moment we were in contact, always flexible and enthusiastic. She met with us multiple times upon our arrival to Greece before the wedding to help align the final details. It was such a personal experience, and we felt she cared about our wedding as much as we did. She would meet with people from the village to help coordinate details and keep us in the loop when we couldn’t be there. It was such a blessing. We spent our day enjoying every moment while, behind the scenes, she was coordinating all the details. She truly brought our idea of a Greek-American village wedding to life. There was never a moment of doubt that we could trust her with our special day, and she delivered an experience that we will never forget."

Jackie and Demetri tell us first-hand: “Nikos was great to work with, especially having only met him the day of the wedding. He and his team were professional and creative as they captured all the beautiful moments from our wedding day. Our biggest regret is not having time to do a post-wedding photoshoot because his photography skills are truly incredible. We received an abundance of stunning photos that we will cherish for a lifetime. We are so grateful to have had his talent on our wedding day."
